Road safety 'fillers' commercials on the BBC

In the run-up to November the Fifth, the BBC shows 'filler' commercials about firework safety during prime-time programming.

Given that road crashes kill and injure far more children, will your Department liaise with the BBC to show road safety fillers through the rest of the year?

My point was that BBC1 (not the satellite or commercial channels) airs firework fillers during prime time. Surely, your Department could encourage them to do the same for your road safety fillers as part of their public service broadcasting responsibilities..

We already provide fillers to broadcasters and they do use them although not necessarily at peak viewing times! The small hours of the morning on satellite TV stations tends to be a good time to see road safety messages :-)

The THINK! campaign is paid for advertising and is a big success and THINK! has just won a 'business oscar' for its TV ad on teenage pedestrians filmed on a mobile phone.
